Shadowrocket Download & Authenticity Check

A paid app, purchased once and available only on the App Store. Verify the store listing and app details, then complete the purchase with your own Apple ID.

Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited App ID: 932747118 $2.99 one-time purchase Universal purchase for iPhone and iPad

The price shown is a US storefront reference. Prices, system requirements, and purchase conditions vary; check the App Store page for current details.

01 / Storefront and account region

Check your Apple ID storefront region

Shadowrocket is currently unavailable on the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, check the country or region for the Apple ID used with Media & Purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines your App Store storefront; your device language, physical location, and storefront region are separate settings.

The button above opens the US App Store product page. Being able to view the page in a browser does not guarantee that your account can make a purchase. After opening it in the App Store, check the availability message, price, and compatibility details. If you see a message such as “Not available in your country or region,” check your storefront before deciding what to do next. This does not indicate an app configuration problem.

  1. Open Settings on your device and tap the Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account. You may be asked to verify your identity.
  3. Open Country/Region to check your current storefront. If you need to change it, use Change Country or Region and follow the instructions on screen.
  4. Return to the App Store and check the Shadowrocket product page for its price, availability, and purchase button.

Changing your region may affect your account balance, existing subscriptions, Family Sharing status, and valid payment methods. Check the account page for eligibility and instructions; results depend on your account. If you’re just trying to identify the issue, note your current region and the App Store message. You don’t need to change your account before understanding the impact.

02 / Verify the app

Check the developer, icon, and app ID

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background
Shadowrocket Match the official icon, then check the listing details

A matching or similar app name is not enough to confirm you have the right product. Similar names, descriptions, or graphics in search results are no substitute for checking the full product page. Before paying, open the complete listing and verify all three details below. Don’t buy based only on the first search result.

  1. Developer: Confirm that the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. If the store shows additional fields such as provider in the app details, expand that section and check the listed entity.
  2. Official icon: A white background with a blue-and-purple outlined rocket, matching the official icon shown on this page. Use the icon as one clue, and verify it alongside the developer and app ID.
  3. App ID: The app ID is 932747118, and the product page URL ends in id932747118. A listing with a similar name but a different ID is not the product covered by this guide.

Once all three details match, check the price and compatibility before purchasing. If the developer, icon, or app ID differs, return to the correct product page. Similar keywords in a description do not mean two listings are the same app.

The two images alongside this text are official English interface screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. They show Home and Add Server for identification. Fields and statuses in the screenshots are examples; they do not mean a server is provided with the purchase or that your device is connected. The interface may change with app updates, so follow what you see on your device.

03 / iPhone

Buying and opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

On iPhone, first verify the three app details on the App Store product page, then check the Compatibility section. Check the App Store page for system requirements. Being able to open the page in a browser does not mean your device meets the installation requirements. If the purchase button is unavailable, read the App Store message carefully and distinguish between account region, payment, and device compatibility issues.

After checking the price, complete the purchase as prompted. When the download finishes, open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen. Find Home, Config, and Settings, then get your own subscription or server details ready to import. Opening the app alone does not establish a connection. Check the connection status, selected server, and Global Routing in Home separately.

When you first start a connection, iOS may ask to allow adding a VPN configuration. This system permission is needed to set up the network connection; it is not another app purchase. Confirm that Shadowrocket initiated the request and understand what it allows before following the system prompt. If you cancel for now, return to the app and check where you left off. You don’t need to buy the app again.

If payment is complete but the app icon is still pending, check the download status in the App Store, then check your network and available storage. If the app opens but the connection fails, troubleshoot your server, Global Routing, DNS, and rules instead of paying again. App updates are also managed through the App Store; choose automatic updates or check manually in your device settings.

04 / iPad and other compatible devices

One purchase for iPhone and iPad

Shadowrocket is a universal purchase for iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with an Apple ID, use that same account for Media & Purchases on your iPad, then find Shadowrocket in the App Store’s Purchased section and follow the download option shown. Check that the account matches before deciding whether to pay; changing to an iPad does not mean you need to buy the app again.

An iPad’s larger screen can change how lists, details, and pop-up screens appear compared with iPhone. When following this guide, identify features by interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings rather than relying on fixed button positions in screenshots. Adding a server still requires your own details, and you should check your selections and system permissions before connecting.

An app purchase and configuration data are separate. Even when two devices use the same purchase account, restoring the app does not mean subscriptions, passwords, rules, and current selections will automatically match. Check the lists after installation. If you need to import details again, use your own saved information and make sure your service allows use on those devices.

For iPad, check the App Store page for system requirements. If you can’t install the app, first check the target device’s compatibility and the App Store message. If the app installs but won’t connect, check the information in the app. These are different stages with different troubleshooting steps, so note the exact message before proceeding.

05 / Switching devices and restoring purchases

Restore the app with your original account

You usually don’t need to pay again for the same purchase after switching devices or reinstalling. First, make sure the new device uses the original purchase Apple ID for Media & Purchases. Then find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again. Account pages may group this option under sections such as Apps, depending on the system version. Look for your purchase history using the labels shown on your device.

If the product page still shows a price, don’t pay again right away. Check that you’re using the same account, confirm the app appears in your purchase history, and see whether it was hidden. Your device’s iCloud account and your purchase account may differ, so the profile picture at the top of Settings alone doesn’t confirm which account is signed in to the store.

If your account region has changed, availability in the current storefront may affect whether you can get the app again. Check your original purchase record and the App Store message; a previous installation does not guarantee current availability. Family Sharing availability depends on the product page and your family group’s status. Being in a family group does not mean the app appears in your personal purchase history.

Check your connection details after restoring the app

Reinstalling the app restores the client, not necessarily your data. Open Shadowrocket and check whether your servers, subscriptions, and configurations are still listed. If the list is empty, reimport your own saved details, then check Global Routing and the connection status.

If your old device still works, make sure you have saved the information you need before handling its data. Subscription URLs may contain access credentials. Keep them somewhere you control, and don’t include them in public screenshots, comments, or shareable documents.

Restoring an app purchase does not extend an external service’s validity or fix an expired subscription URL. If the app is restored but the subscription won’t update, check your existing service details and network, then see How to troubleshoot a subscription update failure →.

06 / Price and one-time purchase

What the one-time payment covers

$2.99US storefront reference · One-time purchase

Check the current App Store page for the actual amount, currency, and payment terms.

Shadowrocket is a paid client. The US storefront reference price is $2.99, paid once, with no monthly client fee. Other storefronts show local currency; the amount on the purchase confirmation screen is final. Prices, tax treatment, and currency vary by storefront, so the US dollar reference is not the amount every account will be charged.

A one-time app purchase is not a service plan. Buying the app grants access to the client; it does not provide a server or subscription. To connect, you need your own subscription or server details. This official guide does not provide or sell nodes or subscriptions, or recommend related services.

When adding a server, enter values such as Type, Host, Port, and Password to match your own server details. To import a subscription, use your own valid URL. A successful App Store transaction confirms only the app purchase; it does not confirm that an external service is available, a subscription is valid, or your current network is working properly.

Check each part separately: use App Store records for purchases and purchase restoration, in-app settings for configuration and rules, and your own service details to check whether an existing service is valid. Identify which part has the issue before following the relevant steps. Paying for the app again won’t resolve a connection problem.

Before and after purchase / FAQs

Store, device, and purchase restoration FAQs

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket is currently unavailable on the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines your storefront. Check it under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Availability depends on what the App Store shows for your account; changing your device language does not change your storefront region.

The product page opens, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?

Note the exact App Store message, then check your storefront, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. Resolve account or payment issues in your App Store account. Check the App Store page for system requirements. A store download issue is different from a server connection problem in Shadowrocket.

Do I have to pay again after switching devices or reinstalling?

Use the Apple ID that made the original purchase. In the App Store, go to Account → Purchased and find Shadowrocket; you can usually download it again without paying. If a price still appears, check the account used for Media & Purchases and review your purchase history before paying again. After reinstalling, you may need to check or reimport your own subscription or server details.

Can I install Shadowrocket on my iPad after buying it for iPhone?

Yes. The iPhone and iPad versions are a universal purchase. On your iPad, use the same Apple ID for Media & Purchases, then find Shadowrocket in the App Store’s Purchased section. Check the App Store page for system requirements. Purchase history and configuration data on your device are separate, so check your configuration after installation.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page in the App Store on your target device. System requirements and universal purchase availability are determined by the App Store page; the App Store remains the place to get the app.

How do I follow the instructions when the interface is in English?

This guide keeps interface labels in English so you can find them on screen: Home shows connection status, Add Server lets you add your own server, Config manages configurations, and Settings contains app settings. Use the official screenshots to identify the interface, then see the Getting Started guide. The interface language does not confirm a purchase; verify the developer, official icon, and app ID.
